Dear gardening friends,

I am taking the website off line.  The site has been costly to maintain and has not generated any funds through advertisers.  I have had increasing demands on my time and must focus on other projects.  I have enjoyed answering the gardening questions that have been sent in.  Inspiring people to garden and making New Jersey an even more scenic place was a large part of what I intended to achieve. 

The disheartening part was discovering how few people practice what I would describe as "common courtesy".  Many emails came to me with only a gardening question (some needing extensive research) and without a formal greeting or introduction by the person asking the question.  I consider this rude and insulting.  I answered all questions to the best of my ability as I promised.  I believe this speaks volumes for what is wrong in our society and country.  Consideration, cooperation, courtesy, respect and compassion are in short supply.  I sincerely thank all who did correspond respectfully.

I will consider putting the site back on line in the future but no promises.  I thank you for your support and wish you success in your gardens.
